  • He's Behind You!

    Thu 12 Jan 2023

The children at Peterhouse all got to enjoy their annual pantomime this week. M&M Productions visited us to put on their version of Snow White. The children very much enjoyed all of the fun and laughter - the teachers were not quite so keen on the audience participation!

Next year we look forward to welcoming M&M Productions back once again for Sleeping Beauty!

  • Family Carol Service

    Tue 13 Dec 2022

Thank you to all of the parents that came out to join us on the farm for the annual family carol service. It was lovely to come together and share the story of Christmas and sing a few of our favourite carols.

  • Joint Ark Federation event

    Thu 08 Dec 2022

Each year the Great Yarmouth Minster puts on a Christmas Tree Festival during the month of December. Schools, organisations and charities create wonderful trees and cribs of their own design, the general public are then able to view the entries and vote for their favourite.

A group of Peterhouse and Moorlands children have been working together to create an Ark Federation entry.

A huge thank you to Miss Love from Moorlands for her efforts and for designing this year's entry.

Today’s girls league game against Woodlands was the final - and hardest - game of the season. Woodlands pressured us from the start but our defence was solid. We fought bravely and with such determination and grit. Both teams had chances but it was our defending today that shone through. Jessica was outstanding today in defence with Chloe. Kara was a rocket down the wings again with Ella and Ellie in support. Malawi had their defence worried on many occasion. The game ended 0-0 and I have lost my voice. The draw means that Peterhouse girls have won the South league.

A massive thank you to all girls that have played this season. It is a team game and you all have been a part of it. This win is for all of you.

Massive thank you for all the girls’ family and friends that have supported us this season it means a lot to us all you have been fantastic.

Trevor, thank you again for all your support.
And I must thank Miss Edwards aka the flamingo - you are definitely our lucky mascot.

A very very very proud and very hoarse Mr Duncan.

    Championies!

Wow! What a busy week in football. We have four games to report on.

Last Friday our Y6 team were at home to Homefield. What an end to end game, but sadly we were at the losing end of a 4-3 thriller. Both team played some great football and we were very unlucky to not have won. Big thank-you to Malawi for stepping in for Shay and thank you Shay for your work in the team this season. I'm sure I speak for all the team we wish you all the best for your time with the Norwich team.

Monday saw our Y5 boys visit Cliff Park and we were all treated to an 8 goal match . Things didn't start too well in the first half when we found ourselves 3-0 down but we managed to score a reply just before half time. The second half started and Cliff Park scored a third but this seemed to spark the boys into life and what a transformation! We clawed one back and then another so at 4-3 time was running out but the Y5s didn't give up - they fought and fought and with some brilliant skills we got an equaliser! After that it was all Peterhouse and if there were just a few minutes more I'm sure we would have found a winner. Well done Sasha for your hattrick and Marley for your first game. I have to mention Liam in goal and to quote Phoenix's dad, he made some worldies. He did make some unbelievable saves.  Everyone played fantastic football especially in the second half.

Tuesday saw the Y5s playing again at Hillside. Yet again these lads showed me how much determination, skills and teamwork they had. Peterhouse dominated the game. The defence was solid and our keeper didn't have to make one save today. Marley opened the score and then Sacha got his 4th and 5th goal in the last two games. They really were so impressive; next season looks promising for them. All the players in the last two games should be proud of themselves.

Today saw our girls play their second-from-last game and wow! We dominated from start to finish and we were treated to a ten goal thriller. I was so impressed by the team work and the camaraderie of all the girls today; every one played a massive part. The final score was 9-1 to Peterhouse. Malawi scored 8 (yes, 8!) goals today and Ellie scored the other.  We have one more game this season against Woodlands on Monday. One more win girls - you can do it!

Many many thanks to all our parents, grandparents and other family members for your support for our team. Many thanks to Riley’s dad for refereeing for us and of course, I must thank Trevor for his help and support.

No sign of the flamingo today but I have heard she is making a special visit on Monday to cheer the girls on.

A very VERY proud Mr Duncan

  • Safeguarding Mural Winners!

    Fri 04 Mar 2022 MBensly

After his incredible success with the Create-osaurus project, our artist-in-residence, Mr Botwright is embarking on another (much bigger!) project.

Mr Botwright is our Designated Safeguarding Lead here at Peterhouse. A couple of weeks ago, he and the the other members of our safeguarding team announced a competition for our students to design a mural for the walls of the area outside Mr Botwright's office. Pupils were invited to draw pictures that showed what they thought safeguarding was all about. This activity was completed in school.

The submissions were amazing and the safeguarding team had a tricky time deciding who the winners should be. Pupils drew anti-bullying scenes, pictures of trusted adults, friends helping each other and the 'Just Say No' Pantosaurus.

Our photo shows the winners, along with their pictures and the frames the winning submissions will go into in the mural. We will keep you posted on the progress.
