SEND - Local Offer
SEND (Special Educational Needs and disabilities)
“The Peterhouse curriculum has been designed to offer chances, widen horizons and break down barriers to learning. A curriculum that by design makes the Academy a place where all can flourish, regardless of background or ability.”
At Peterhouse Primary, we understand that inclusion needs to be threaded through everything we do. We have high expectations for every child at Peterhouse but understand that high quality teaching, support, adjustments and intervention are at the heart of inclusive practice and improving progress for our pupils with SEND. We know that making connections and communicating with parents/carers, health professionals, external agencies and the Local Authority helps us to find the most appropriate and effective support for pupils within our care.
The following documents will give you more information in relation to SEND and how school and home can support children. If you have any concerns or wish to discuss SEND at our school, please do not hesitate to contact the school SENDco (Special Educational Needs & Disabilities Coordinator) via the office:

General SEND information
Peterhouse SEND Provision
At Peterhouse, differentiation means:
- making adjustments and providing support to ensure all children are able to access learning and achieve objectives
- understanding that children need to be given opportunities to be able to demonstrate their learning through a variety of outcomes
- recognising that an inclusive learning environment should benefit all learners, but is a must for those who need it most
For more information on how we cater for SEND throughout our curriculum and across specific subjects, please see our curriculum pages and attached policies.
