The school gates open at 8.30am and remain open until 8.50am

(whilst our covid restrictions are in place, children can arrive at any point within this window and not be marked as late)

Classroom doors open at 8.40am and lessons begin immediately.

Morning Playtimes:

Children have a 20 minute morning break - the times of these differ dependent on year group.

Lunch: 

Reception, Year 1, 2 and 3 - 11.45am

Year 4, 5 and 6 - 12.30pm

All lunch breaks are 45 minutes long

Collection:

All year groups - 3.15pm

Parents are welcome to use any of the three available gates to drop off and collect. Once in the school grounds, please make your way to your child's entrance point (please ask a member of staff on duty if you are unsure). All parents are reminded to spread out and avoid congregating around classroom doors.

Getting to School:

Walking to school is the best option as there is limited parking at the school’s entrances on Magdalen Way and Peterhouse Avenue. Also, there is no access to the school’s car park. Alternatively, we have bike-racks next to the playground.

Hours of Education

The Government request that all schools display their exact times of opening, along with the total number of hours spent in education.

For Peterhouse Primary Academy, the following applies:

Start of the school day (Mon - Fri) - 8.40am

End of the school day (Mon - Fri all year groups) - 3.15pm

Total hours in education per day: 6 hours 35 minutes

Total hours in education per week: 32 hours 55 mins
